    Been a while....
Let's see... time to blow off a bit of steeeeeeeeam!!! I worked til 3 today.. then when to WalMart to get some fire ant killer, tomato stakes, new mail box, and sundry assorted groceries [nothing too big]... when I got home.. I told mother I was gonna wait til it cooled off a bit to put up the new mail box, etc... she agreed!! It's after 6.. just got in from staking the tomatoes... watering the plants, killing the fire ants, putting up the new mail box which does not fit the wooded platform that is there.. but I MADE it fit!! and the yellow alert that lets you know when the mail has come is almost worn out... so I told mother she would have to do without it for a bit.... before I could say anything else, she informed me she would get "someone" to put it up......... no thank you for staking the tomatoes, no thank you for killing the fire ants, no thank you for putting up the new mail box and making it fit!!!! SHEESH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ain't life grand??? Ohhhhhh... I almost forgot... while I was in WalMart, a large older woman was sprawled out on the floor in the aisle that leads to the front door on the grocery side... she didn't move the entire time I was there... but they did go get a pillow for her head while they waited for the ambulance to arrive... Sure hope she's ok.... kinda un-nerving!!!!

    Corporate World???
Last Friday, our office manager asked to take me to lunch as a reward for my "hard" work on our web site. Friday is payday and the only day I can go to the bank, therefore, I had to decline. ... Yesterday, she told me she was taking me and the Reloc person to lunch on Thursday.. [today]... Uhhhhh... what happened to MY reward for my "hard" work?? ... and as luck would have it, the receptionist called in sick today!!! ROFLMCLBO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

    Another Monday
Back to work after 1 day off... this working 6 days a week is for the birds.. or anyone else who is a "bird"brain!!! HAHAHAHA!!! And you got it, apparently that's ME!! hahaha! It's a puzzlement to me how other folks in our office can get away with things, and my every action is usually called into question!!! MMMmmmm... kinda makes ya wonder, huh?? But then I was never the "teacher's pet" type... too independent, I suppose!!! Tended to question silly or senseless actions, projects and the like... guess it "upset" the applecart, as "they" say. EXAMPLE... if you can add 1+1+1 and get 3... why do you need to show how you arrived at the answer on 4 sheets of paper... can't you simply say.. 1+1+1=3??? Of course not... THAT would make sense!!!!! Sheesh!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Being a perfectionist has it's problems, I tend to correct the mistakes of others, always have. Most of my office memos looks like graded papers from a classroom... predominately RED!!! You would think that adults, using the turn VERY loosely here, could at least spell simple words like d-o-u-b-t, not dout .. or use the correct word.. for NOT four... etc!!! But apparently in some circles that is considered "professional"... I was taught MUCH better than that..... Most of the correspondence, emails, letters, etc that go out from our office are filled with spelling and/or grammer errors. Such a shame... Wonder if they have heard of the discovery of the great invention of ...... are ya ready???..... SPELL CHECK!!!!! Just lettin' off a bit of steam... these folks who continually make these errors seem to be the ones who make the "BIG BUCKS".... Guess I spent all that time in college for nothin'!! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha......................

    Awards
Last night was the FIRST time in the 3 years I have worked at my company that I was invited to the annual awards banquet! Before now only the "chosen" few got to go and those getting awards... but last night the ENTIRE company was invited... and I got an award thingy... But don't congratulate me, EVERY other staff person got one kust like it, therefore it was
n-o-t-h-i-n-g "SPECIAL"!!! But then that's the way it is, I suppose!!! I thought awards were for Y-O-U-R "special" achievements... so, to my way of thinking, if EVERYONE got one... they aren't SPECIAL!!! ...............Just my thoughts on the matter......................

    5 for $5
Sounds like a GREAT deal, huh?? I thought so, so about 2 or 3 weeks ago I stopped by Sonic on a Tuesday on my way home from work and picked up their 5 for $5 special [5 hamburgers for $5]. Mom just raved and raved about how GREAT the burger was, one of the best she had ever eaten. As time passed I forgot about it, "u-n-t-i-l" about 4 days ago when mother started asking me where I got that hamburger that was sooooooooooooooooooooo good!!! To be honest, I couldn't remember.... about 3 or 4 more times she mentioned it... and then it came to me.......... SONIC!!!! Sooo yesterday after work I went and got the 5 for $5 special again. Brought them home and gave her one.. I ate mine and went to check out stuff online. About an hour or so later, she shuffles back to the computer room and informs me that was an AWFUL hamburger, that it took her over 30 minutes to chew it....... guess some days ya can't win for losing............ but with my mom, I can NEVER seem to win... ~sigh~

    Now.... for the drip saga!!!
Ohhh yes... the toilet in Mom's bathroom was leakin... so she called a "plumber"... who said he fixed it... in the mean time, it seems the sink in her bathroom has also sprung a leak.... so when he returned he also fixed that............. story over?? Ohhhhhhhhh nooooo... not by a looooooooooooooong shot!!! Seems the toilet leak WAS fixed... but the sink leak was not... so a bowl was used until it could be fixed... and then... SURPRISE... the sink in the kitchen was also leakin.... soooooo mother got some "nit-wit" that the guy next door knew to fix them both......... Hummmmmm.... you guessed it, neither one is fixed... sooooooooo mother got smart and called a REAL plumber... the kitchen sink is fixed... and he installed a new faucet in the bathroom sink.... BUTTTTTTTTTTT... you guessed it... it is STILL leaking... Over $200 later.. we still have a leak... he's suppose to come back and make it good!!! ... just hope I remember to keep emptying the bowl BEFORE it overflows!!! .... Like "they" say.. when it rains... it pours!!

    Extra info....
I should have added that .. AFTER cleaning the "stuff" off daddy's bed... including the sheets, covers, etc.. boxes, papers, etc.. I had to literally dragggggggg it the mattress into the hallway.. manuver around and get it into mother's room.. and manage to get it onto the bed.. all by myself!!!!!!!!!! I had already taken off THE NEW 4 ft mattress and stood it up against her chest of drawers when I tried the Aerobed thingy that didn't work.... not even a "thank you" did I get... but she did mention that she slept the best she had in a long time.. the next morning!!! Sheeshhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! and she wonder's why I tend to get "irritated"!!!! DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The "NEW" mattress saga
It started out ohhh so simple. Mother ordered a mattress & box springs [hereafter referred to only as THE mattress] apparently from QVC. It arrived and was placed on her bed... when I got home that evening from work, I almost has a heart attack... you would need a 6' ladder to get into it. Knowing how mother can "hardly" walk, it was impossible for her to get into it... why on earth she let them leave it and take her old one is beyond me....... but it gets better!!!!!!!!!! She had called them to tell them to come and get it... BUT that would leave her without any mattress at all, as they took her old one. She slept in the recliner in the tv room ... then I remembered the Aerobed in my car and told her I would put it on her bed until they came and got the new mattress. Wellllllll... as luck would have it.. the Aerobed has a hole in it and would not hold air... sooo another night in the recliner.... I told her I could swap the mattress on daddy's old bed and keep the new springs and put that mattress on top and it should be ok... She agreed... When I got home.. Beau took off to see his friends and I moved the mattress on daddy's old bed alone and fixed it with her feather bed stuff and sheets... She could at last sleep on it!!!!! Buttttttttttt Ohhhhhhhhhhhh noooooooooooooooo... it doesn't end there...... last night she informs me she wants daddy's ENTIRE bed changed into her room and her bed in daddy's room... I told her things were fine the way they are... but she is determined to have them switched so she can sleep on that DAMN new mattress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I told her I ain't changin it....... she said she would get Michael & Andrew.. I told her that ain't gonna happen.. and she tells me she will get some "guys" to change it......... This should be interesting... to say the least!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hahahahahahaha!!! I had my yearly review at work!! Got a higher percentage than last year, BUT... was told that some in our office didn't think my "dress" was very professional!!! hahahahahahahahahahaha......... this comment from people who wear NO shoes at work... cut off jeans, tank tops, blue jeans, hip huggers, low cut tops, skirts that barely pass for belts... and I am suppose to take this seriously??? I think not!!!!! and now.. I get a raise... W~O~W!!!! a whopping 50ยข!!!!!!!!! And these yo-yo's wonder why no one stays long at this company!!!! Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahaha
    Superman
Congratulations! You scored a super 83%!
You are, by all means, the big cahoona. Stong, honest & brave. You're pretty much unbeatable with your array of incredible powers and superhuman attributes, letting you do all sorts of cool and nifty things. Also, this means no one's really gonna say anything when you prance around wearing whatever your mum thinks is cool. Whilst you don't get all that many '1 on 1' battles like in the old days, your abilities may be used to help save thousands from natural disasters or major world threats. You live by the notion that good will always triumph over evil, and your boy scout looks and words of nobility inspire even the most hopeless of people. Whilst you may not be as fearsome, slick or as fun as some of the other heroes going around, you still remain the light that shines in the globe of justice, whenever evil trys to, err, turn it off...
